Youth involvement in Baseball
This immersion and research project is designed to provide an overview of the three pillars of involvement; growth/development, interest and participation. In the course of the research, exposure will be gained through a diverse collection of youth baseball players from around the country. In addition to the in depth look at active participants, stakeholders such as; coaches, parents, leagues, and administrators will be factored in to gain an understanding of effective and ineffective philosophies, plans and approaches.
This research will outline a need for player engagement positions with sports organizations and leagues. The approach will be to first focus on strategies, learning outcomes, success and results of such roles and opportunities. Secondly, the concentration will turn to development professionally both on and off the field then establishing a presence for long-term sustainability after a career has concluded.
